Patricia M. (Peterson) Wiandt, 77, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Born Nov. 26, 1940 in Green Bay, to the late Edwin and Alice (Green) Peterson, she was the oldest of 13 children and grew up in Freedom. She earned a teaching degree at UW-Oshkosh and taught at the elementary level for many schools in Freedom and Marinette and Stephenson, Mi. On Aug. 16, 1969, she married Loren Wiandt and they recently celebrated 49 years together.
She enjoyed bus trips, with her best trip being to New York City this summer with her family, reading, crossword puzzles and making lists of things to do, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her faith and prayed for others daily.
She is survived by her husband, Loren; two daughters, Janet (Greg) Dausey and their sons, Jonathon (Mindy) and Noah, all of Abrams and Jean (Jim) Sanborn and their son, Levi of Marinette; three brothers Bob (Mary) Peterson, Jerry Peterson and Joe (Sherry) Peterson; three sisters, Honey (Terry) Garvey, Lois (Pat) Grady and Sandy (Jim) Verhoeven; a sister-in-law, Karol Peterson; a brother-in-law, Allen (Carol) Wiandt and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two infant brothers; three brothers, Roy, Morgan and Roger Peterson; a sister, Mary Jane Peterson (Sister Sandra); a brother-in-law, Conrad Wiandt; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Wiandt and a nephew, Joseph Grady.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Birch Creek from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Fr. Michael Ocran officiated followed by burial in Mellen Township Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson assisted the family with arrangements.
