Marjorie C. (Fleury) Hanson, 84, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at the Luther Home in Marinette.
Born June 16, 1934 in Menominee, Mi., to Alfred and Madelyn Fleury, she married John D. Hanson, Sr. on June 26, 1954 in Milwaukee.
A devoted wife and mother, she had a gift to teach children the Word of God and lived her life in service to others, whether caring for family, neighbors or serving the community through cooking. She opened her home to many and shared the Love of Christ.
She is survived by six children, Dawn (Pete) Kertesz, Denise Biemeret, John (Tina) Hanson, Dale (Chris) Hanson, Deleen (Randy) O'Connor and Danette Waloway; 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and two siblings, Alfred (Pat) Fleury and Richard (Dee) Fleury.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hanson, Sr.; a sister, Irene (Don) Borkenhagen and two great-grandchildren, Natalie O'Connor Mitchell and Calvin O. Bauer.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. until time of a service at 1 p.m. Andy Bauer will officiate with burial in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
