Richard J. Anglehart, 86, of Marinette passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born April 15, 1932 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Joseph and Martha (Lundfeldt) Anglehart, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1951 and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. On Oct. 10, 1953, he married Rita Fischer at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Marinette. He worked at Scott Paper for over 30 years.
He was an active member of Holy Family Parish, the American Legion, past president of the Papermakers Union, past board member of the Scott Paper Credit Union and served as an alderman for the City of Marinette.
His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, he loved singing around the piano with family and enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, socializing and cheering for the Packers and Badgers.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rita; two daughters, Kathleen Anglehart and Debra (Jeffrey) Metz, both of Milwaukee; four sons, Paul (Timothy Gast) Anglehart of San Mateo, Ca., David of West Allis, Joseph (Suzanne) of Lacrosse and Peter (Ann) of Green Bay; a sister, Mary Enstrom of Delavan and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Berg and a brother, Thomas.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish, St Joseph's Church, Carney Blvd. on Friday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Rev. Celestine Byekwaso will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
