Jerry L. Kell, 80, of the Town of Peshtigo, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Rennes Health Care Center-East.
Born Aug. 11, 1938, to the late Earl and Margaret (Hill) Kell, he married JoAnn (Pobgee) on Oct. 15, 1960 at St. Gertrude Church in Franklin Park, Ill.
For 43 years, he was involved in the industrial fencing and guard rail industry. He retired from Midwest Fence Corporation of Chicago, Ill. in 2003 when he moved to his cabin on the Peshtigo River.
In retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, morning coffee with friends at the Peshtigo Cafe and playing poker with the guys on Tuesday nights.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; a daughter, Lynette and son-in-law Benjamin Ranallo of Plainfield, Ill., a son, Jerald Kell and daughter-in-law, Laurette of McHenry. Ill.; five grandchildren; a sister, Earlene Kerrott of Florida; a brother, James Kell of California and many treasured nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Earl Kell and Richard Rae Kell.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo from 9 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m., with Fr John Harper officiating. A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
