The 11th annual Village of Pound Community Christmas Parade of Lights is on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 5 pm. There is no entry fee required, but non-perishable items donated will go to area food pantries.
Anyone interested in entering a float can get the entry form at Katie's Sub, Pound Village Clerk office or villageofpound.com. All parade participants should line up on Memorial Drive by 4:45 pm with the parade to start at 5 pm. Participants will receive a calendar filled with pictures. The floats will again be judged by the spectators for a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place trophies.
There will be an "After Parade Social" at the Pound Community Center with non-alcoholic refreshments of coffee and apple cider served along with chili, and sweets, all free. Santa and Mrs. Santa Clause will hand out treats for the children while making his list for all those who have been good this year.
