Milton A. (Mick) Verhagen, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Born Aug. 25, 1944 at home in the Town of Howard, the third child of John and Mae (Brunette) Verhagen, he graduated from Pulaski High in 1962. On April 1, 1967, he married Laura Taycher in Green Bay, and they had three children, Michael, Taz and Christine, who gave them five grandchildren. After nearly 22 years, he retired from the United States Navy Seabees at Port Hueneme, Ca. His career took him to many places, including two tours in Vietnam where he got Agent Orange, which never left him.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Laura; three children, Michael and Becky (Upton), Simi Valley, Ca. and Taz and Tiffany and Christine and Kevin McClintock, both of Marinette; five grandchildren; a brother, John (Jack) and Karan of Crivitz; a sister, Betty (Jim) Dura, Marinette; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Hunter and Tiana.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Norbert and Virginia (Peters) Taycher; two sisters-in-law, Alice (White) and Dawn Blohowiak; two brothers-in- law, Grant Blohowiak and Olen Buddy Figgins and many Vietnam Veterans.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date and will be published in a later edition. Malcore Funeral Home of Green Bay is assisting the family.
