Marian Mae (Rasmussen) Jones, 84, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018.

Education was stressed in their home and she attended college and earned her nursing degree with her childhood friend Joanne (Hedin) Ahlgren at Augustana Hospital School of Nursing College in Chicago. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Gene Jones.
She loved all things Danish and took pride in traveling with her adult sisters to Horsens, Denmark to trace their family heritage. Her sister Rosena wrote a book about their Danish legacy, while her sister Dorothy researched online genealogy sites to bring their family history to life.
She enjoyed being a part of the internationally recognized open-heart surgery team at Mt. Sinai in Milwaukee and cherished the lasting, life-long friendships that she made during her career. One of her creative outlets was the bridal hat business that she started and ran out of her home. She designed many one-of-a-kind creations for clients countrywide along with her daughters' headpieces.
She enjoyed oil painting, throwing pottery, making hats from pheasant feathers and spending holidays and celebrations with family and friends.
