Joseph F. Hudak, 96, of Peshtigo, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, in Peshtigo.
Born Feb. 2, 1922, to the late Andrew and Mary (Dzurick) Hudak in the Town of Porterfield, after graduation, he worked in Milwaukee until serving in World War II. He served in 319 combat engineers in Europe and after service, worked in the CCC Camp in Dunbar for two years. He then attended diesel engineering school in Chicago.
He worked at Ansul for 32 years, retiring in 1986. He married Delia Cloutier on July 10, 1954 at St. Joseph's Church in Walsh and she preceded him in death on July 4, 2011. He was a member of SS. Joseph and Edward Parish, the Sacred Heart Auto League and the Loomis American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard work.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Delia, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Hudak and two sisters, Elizabeth Downs and Helen Baribeau.
Visitation was held at SS. Joseph and Edward Church in Walsh on Monday, Nov. 19 from noon until time of a Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Rev. Jess Berdol officiated with burial in Forest Home Cemetery. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette assisted the family with arrangements.
