Elsie P. (Calkins) Wallace, 98, of DePere, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at Birch Creek Assisted Living in DePere.
Born Dec. 16, 1919, to the late Stewart and Carrie (Armstrong) Calkins, she was an Elementary Teacher for 27 years and Clerk at Athelstane Post Office for five years.
A longtime member of Athelstane Presbyterian Church, she had a strong Christian faith, loved playing the organ in Church and was known for her sewing and quilting.
She is survived by three children, Marilyn (Dennis) Heim, Larry (LaVerne) Lundberg and Jerold Lundberg; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom; an ex-daughter-in-law, Debi Lundberg and many extended family members and friends.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Allen Lundberg and Charles Wallace and two siblings, Vernon and Ruth.
Family and friends may visit Athelstane Presbyterian Church on Monday, Dec. 3 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Agnes Brady and Lina Wittmann will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
