Ruth Lee (Czestochowa) Tenaglia, 83, of Suring, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.
Born March 1, 1935 in Milwaukee, to the late Martin and Anna (Sweda) Bruske, she graduated from Riverside High School and married Louis Tenaglia on Nov. 8, 1958 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
A devoted mother, she began working as a secretary in the Milwaukee School District once her children were older. She was proud of her work as a scout leader and other activities in the community. They lived in Milwaukee for most of their lives, before moving to the Suring area in 1996.
An avid bowler in her youth, she enjoyed bowling her entire life and enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead, crocheting, sewing, knitting, cross-stitch, embroidery, candle-wicking, crewel and quilting, but mostly crocheting infant hats to donate to hospitals.
They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 8, 2018 and had been looking forward to many more years together.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Louis; two daughters, Louise (Jerry) Faust of Summerfield, N.C. and Rosanne (Tod) Bushman of Hendersonville, Tn.; five grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Louis Jr. and Angelo and a brother.
Visitation was held at St. John Catholic Church in Gillett on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Fr. Robert Ni Ni officiated with interment in Hickory Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring assisted the family with arrangements.
