Joseph "Joe" H. Westberg, 63, of Oconto Falls, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center of Green Bay, after a difficult battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Born Nov. 21, 1955 in Sheboygan, to Henry and Carol (Pilon) Westberg, he married the former Mary Thomson on Feb. 21, 1976 in Lena. A woodworker at Capitol Interiors in Peshtigo for 25 years, he worked for the past 20 years at L.E. Jones in Menominee, Mi. and was a member of the Grover-Porterfield Fire Dept. for 28 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, feeding "his" birds and loved his dog Moxie, known as "Goose." He was a good husband, father and grandfather and was loved by his family.
Surviving are his wife Mary; a son, Robert "Bob" (Christina) Westberg, Green Bay; three grandchildren; his mother, Carol Westberg, Coleman; two brothers, Ken (special friend, Barb) Westberg, Coleman, Dean (special friend, Carol) Westberg, Pound and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Westberg.
The family greeted relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Coleman on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Deacon Peter Gard officiated with burial in Amberg Cemetery.
