Wausaukee Sets Jan. 21 CDBG Public Hearing
Issue Date: January 3, 2019
Village of Wausaukee residents are encouraged to attend a public hearing at 6 p. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 to submit comments and gather information related to a proposed Community Development Block Grant-Planning Grant (CDBG-PLNG) application.
The village's Citizen's Participation Committee scheduled the meeting to give the public, particularly residents with low to moderate incomes, an opportunity to learn more about the CDBG program, help identify additional community development needs, and comment on activities tentatively selected for inclusion in the CDBG application.
Plans to submit an application for CDBG funding are being considered by the Wausaukee Village Board and a public hearing is part of this process.
Agenda for the public hearing includes identification of total potential CDBG funds, eligible activities, presentation of identified community development needs by the committee and opportunity for members of the public to identify any additional needs. Specifically mentioned as a community development need is potential residential displacement. A need for additional residential housing opportunities in the village has also been discussed.
The meeting room is handicapped accessible. Anyone needing additional accommodations may contact Village Clerk/Treasurer Sara Pullen at 715-856-5341.
