Only Crivitz And Goodman Have Contests For School Board Seats

Crivitz and Goodman are the only two school districts in TIMESland with contests on the ballot for the Spring Elections on Tuesday, April 2. There are no primaries needed. Crivitz has five candidates for three positions, and Goodman has four candidates for two positions.
Two veteran Peshtigo School Board members, Bob Thomas and Tom Fischer filed notices of non-candidacy and are not seeking return to office. Jenni Schwittay and Mariel Carter are candidates to fill the positions they will vacate.
Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School Board: Incumbent Ryan Berger is unopposed in his bid to return to office as the Town of Pembine representative on the school board.
Coleman School Board: Incumbents Jeremy Hoida and Ryan Wendt are seeking return to office. Incumbent Jamie Graetz filed a notice of non-candidacy, and Barbara Van Drisse is a candidate for the position.
Crivitz School Board: There are five candidates seeking to fill three spots on the board, so no primary will be needed. incumbent Travis Mueller filed a notice of non-candidacy. Contenders are incumbents Amy Grandaw and Cory L.Sotka, and challengers Michael Frievalt, Kayla Gauthier-Ihde and Linda Tarmann.
Goodman-Armstrong Creek School Board: Four candidates are seeking to fill two spots on the board. Candidates are incumbents Timothy Barribeau and Laura Klescewski and challengers Scott Goode and Stanley Millan.
Lena School Board: Incumbent Kristan Huberty has filed a notice of non-candidacy and will not be returning for a new term. Timothy A. Goldschmidt has filed candidacy papers, as has incumbent Edward Huberty. Since there are two candidates and two positions to be filled there will be no contests on the ballot.
Marinette School Board: There are no contests. Incumbents Charles Rowell, Jr., Eric Craver and Terri Florek are all city residents unopposed for return to office.
Niagara School Board: All incumbents have filed for return to office and there is no opposition. Incumbents are Ann Brasure, Patti Sparapani and Lisa Swanson.
Peshtigo School Board: There are four seats to be filled and four candidates seeking to fill them. Candidates who filed for office are Jenni Schwittay and Mariel Carter and incumbents Kelly Jones and Mike Finger. Veteran board members Bob Thomas and Tom Fischer both filed notices of non-candidacy.
Wausaukee School Board: Incumbents Joe Lanich and Sherri Schlies have filed as candidates for return to their board positions. They are unopposed.
Suring School Board: Two seats on the Suring School Board will be up for election on April 2. The seats are: one board member residing in the Towns of Bagley, Maple Valley, Spruce area and one board member residing in the Town of Doty, Mountain, Riverview area. Incumbent Wayne Sleeter filed for the Towns of Bagley, Maple Valley, Spruce area seat and incumbent Amanda Seibert filed for the Town of Doty, Mountain, Riverview area seat. No other electors filed declarations of candidacy. Electors from the entire school district are eligible to vote for candidates from each of the above listed areas. There will be provision on the ballot for write-in votes for candidates from each of the apportionment areas.
