Maxine Louise (McKee) Nichols, 77, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.
Born Aug. 22, 1941 in Green Bay, she graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1959.
She loved to sew, garden, bake bread and travel, but especially loved time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James R. Nichols; four children Penny (Anthony) LaForest, Mary (Ryan) Falk, David (Dana) Nichols and Michael Nichols; six grandchildren; four honorary grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one honorary great-grandchild and five siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Noreen McKee and a brother, Richard C McKee, Jr.
Family greeted relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto on Saturday, Jan. 5 from 10 a.m. until time of the service at 11 a.m., with Fr. Bob Karuhn officiating. Donations are appreciated to Unity Hospice. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Oconto assisted the family with arrangements.
