Darrell Franklin Faucett, 87, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at his home.
Born May 28, 1931, to the late Franklin and Erma Faucett of Porterfield, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1949 and attended UW-Marinette Extension for one year until helping his father with the farm. In 1956, he served in the United States Army for two years in Germany as a radio operator.
An active reservist for two years prior and inactive reservist for three years, he then returned to farming and was a lifelong member of Peace United Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Faucett and Jennifer (Roger) Merriman, both of Arvada, Co.; a nephew, Roger Merriman II (Rebecca) and their children, Evan and Lauren and many relatives and friends.
Friends and relatives may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. An honors ceremony followed and was provided by the Military Twenty-Year Club with burial in Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Peace United Church of Christ in Marinette.
