Frances Laudica (Stauber) Bretl, 90, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Menominee.
Born Dec. 23, 1928 in Huntsville, Tn., to the late Edward and Agnes (Sharpe) Stauber, she graduated from Menominee High School and later she and her daughter Claudia both attended and received their LPN from Bay De Noc School of Nursing. On May 26, 1951 she married Robert Bretl and he preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1983.
She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, painting and crafting.
Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Bretl and Claudia (Art) Landenberger; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and a brother, Edward (Mary Ann) Stauber.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Sunday, Feb. 10 from 2 p.m. until the time of a Vigil Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding, followed by a luncheon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Spring.
