Voters in three Marinette County municipalities will go to the polls on Tuesday, Feb. 19 to select candidates whose names will appear on the ballot for the non-partisan elections on Tuesday, April 2.
In each race one of three contenders will be eliminated, and the remaining two will go on to the April 2 elections. In addition to local contests, the April 2 elections will include voting for judicial positions,among them a hotly contested state-wide race for Wisconsin State Supreme Court Justice.
In the Town of Athelstane there is a three-way race between Harold M. Tesch, Jr., Gerald N. Readman and Denis DeJardin for the Town Board Supervisor 1 position.
Town of Peshtigo voters will choose between incumbent Mark Monnette and challengers Jon P. Drees and Wayne Allan Kamka for the Town Board Supervisor 2 position.
There are two contests in the Town of Silver Cliff, where Riana Ventura Bishop, Cindy Jonet and Christopher Norton are competing to be ballot candidates for Supervisor 1, and Sue Victoreen, Cindy Jonet and Christopher Norton are competing to be selected as Supervisor 2 candidates.
Voters are reminded that they will be required to provide an acceptable form of photo identification at the polls and sign the poll book before being permitted to vote.
