Matthew S. Gunderson, 25, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at his home.
Born March 23, 1993 in Allentown, Pa., he worked as an equipment operator for QOS Fiber.
He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, being outdoors, driving around and digging holes and loved children and animals. Beneath his tough exterior, he was a kind and gentle soul and the world is poorer from his loss.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Lynn Gunderson of Paw Paw, Mi.; two sisters, Rachel Raymond and Faith Gunderson; a brother, Nathaniel Gunderson; two children, Nathalia and Mordecai; two nieces, Aliyah and Naomi; two nephews, Marcus and Brady; maternal grandparents, Les and Kay Fawley; aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ben and his paternal grandparents, Wallace and Ruth Gunderson.
Visitation was held at North Shore Church on Wednesday, Feb.13 from noon until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Tim Gunderson and Pastor Duncan Ross officiating. Anderson Kell Funeral Home of Menominee assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials can be made in his memory to St. Innocence Orphanage in Rosarito, Mx.
