Elmer Otto Garbrecht, 90, of the Town of Morgan, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019 at home with his wife by his side.
Born Jan. 5, 1929, to the late Otto and Henrietta (Meyer) Garbrecht, he married Shirley Young in September of 1952 in Oconto Falls and they farmed at Maplewood Farm in Morgan all their married lives.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Packers, trips out west and time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; five children, Craig (Darlene) and Kris (Christina), both of Morgan, Brian (Jackie), Green Bay and Alan (Rita) and Susan, both of Oconto Falls; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Phyllis Garbrecht.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Grace Lutheran Church, 501 Main Street, Oconto Falls on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gary Olson officiating. Donations to the American Heart Association are appreciated. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Oconto is assisting the family with arrangements.
