Mary R. "Maisie" (Felhofer) Billings, 95, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at Capitol Lakes Health Center in Madison.
Born Jan. 15, 1924 in Marshfield, to Frank and Rose Felhofer, she was the mother of the late Barbara Billings, who was a former teacher at St Mary's Grade School in Peshtigo. She married Clifford Billings of Marshfield and they had five children. He was in the military and the family lived in various places between 1949 and 1966, including seven years in Germany and five years in France.
She and her children returned to Marshfield in 1966 following the unexpected death of her husband, where she worked for V&H Ford and lived in Marshfield until 2011.
Following the death of her daughter Barbara Billings in May 2011, she moved to Madison to be near her two sons, Charles and James. Charles passed away unexpectedly in July 2011.
She loved bowling, golf and the Green Bay Packers and was one of the best female bowlers in the Marshfield area during the 1970's and 1980's, garnering many trophies.
She is survived by twin sons, Douglas Billings and Roger (Kerry) Billings and James (Trisha) Billings; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Thomas Marian) Felhofer.
Along with her parents, she was preceded her in death by her husband, Cifford in 1966; a daughter, Barbara Billings; and a son, Charles in July of 2011.
Funeral services were held at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield on Monday, Jan. 28 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception for family and friends. Rev. James Logan officiated with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
