Wausaukee Town Board Gets "State of the School"

"State of the School Presentation" was given by Bob Berndt, District Administrator, Jared Deschane, Junior and High School Principal and Katie Ambrose, Elementary Principal at the Town of Wausaukee meeting Feb. 19. Their main focus was to inform/ communicate with the public on all aspects of what is happening at Wausaukee School District including where we started, where going and what the future holds.
Chairman Jeff Engelmann then opened discussion on status of Evergreen Cemetary located on Fairgrounds Rd. and stated he had concerns about the upkeep of roads, along with other maintenance. Tammy Schlies and son, Doug Jr. also gave input on needs in both areas of support and maintenance.
Chairman Engelmann along with the Board offered to assist in any way the Cemetery Association may need i.e. help with seeking new members, and in the spring evaluate road and building repairs.
Engelmann said he would like to revisit the Glendale Rd Bridge needs. He will contact Marinette Co. Chair John Lefebvre and Bob Wesolowski will make contact with the DOT.
Updated quotes were received for the Heating and Cooling system for both town hall and garage. Bids were received from Dama Plumbing & Heating; A&M Heating & Cooling and Rouse Heating & Cooling Inc. Supervisor Bob Jicha made a motion to accept bid from Rouse heating to be installed in May which were accepted.
Payment for CAT 140M Motor Grader will be paid in full this week and Jicha reported the new town website is up and running. Go to townofwausaukee.com for info. Chairman Engelmann made a motion to pay web designer not more than $1000.
Fire District quarterly report was reviewed with no comment and tanker repair and fire call questions were discussed and clarified.
Jicha motioned to set road bans per Highway Superintendent same roads as previous year with the exception of milk trucks, school buses, fuel trucks and garbage trucks. Jicha said that people requesting heavy load permits during weight limit are to contact Engelmann at 715-856-5281.

The agenda and minutes were approved.
The Financial report balance on Jan. 31 was Checking $20,602 and MM General Account $ 1,372,659.81.
Vouchers were reviewed.
The Board of Audit examined the clerk's books and compared them to treasurer's report and bank statements and found them to be accurate and exact.
