Sharon Weed, 75, of Pulaski, passed away Sunday morning, March 3, 2019 at Country Villa in Pulaski.
Born Jan. 21, 1944 in Coleman, to Lawrence and Bernice (Martens) Wiltzius, she graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in Oshkosh in 1965 and married Robert Weed on Nov. 6, 1965 in Coleman. They moved to the Pulaski area in Spring of 1973 where she worked for many years at ManorCare and retired from Shawano Medical in 2008 as a social worker.
A member of Assumption B.V.M. Parish, she belonged to the Council of Catholic Women, served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered many hours at the Parish School. She was a founding member of the Pulaski Area Bereavement Support Group, belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #337, Pulaski, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was passionate about helping others and volunteering.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; two daughters and a son, Kathy (T.J.) Lecker, Pulaski, Rob Weed, Oconto and Sue (Joe) Allen, Abrams; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, David (Carla), California and James (Karen), Green Bay; a sister, Patti (Richard) Jensen, Kentucky and nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Weed in 1990.
Visitation will take place at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski on Tuesday, March 12 from 9 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Angelica in Spring. A memorial fund for the Weed Family Foundation has been established. Marnocha Funeral Home of Pulaski is assisting the family with arrangements.
