Edward Roeder, 75, of Marinette, passed away Feb. 27, 2019 at home surrounded by family.
Born March 30, 1943 in Marinette, to the late Edward and Frieda (Brauer) Roeder, Sr., he graduated from Marinette High School in 1961. On Aug. 1, 1964, he married Kathryn Holz at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Marinette and worked at Scott Paper/ Kimberly-Clark for 41 years.
A member of the Marinette Elks Lodge and the Marinette Moose Lodge, he loved time with family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed boating, camping, attending his children's sporting events and maintaining his home and rental properties. The couple became good friends with the "hockey family" and continued those friendships, enjoying many Packer Sundays together.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy; two sons, Eric of Marinette and Mark of Madison; a daughter, Tricia (Stew) Wild of Sun Prairie; a sister, Lorna Mae Harmsen of Mequon and four grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation was held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2 from 4:30 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m., with Chaplain Achsah Shand officiating. Memorials to the Marinette Rescue Squad are appreciated.
