Linda Lee (Vargo) Nerat, 70, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Feb. 28, 2019 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born Oct. 21, 1948 in Menominee, to the late John and Joyce (Rabbie) Vargo, she married Robert Nerat and they were together for over 30 years. She worked at Emerson Electric and State Farm Insurance, Brent Nerat.
She enjoyed playing cards and doing crossword puzzles, but cherished time with family, especially her grandchildren. A generous person, she gave to those in need and loved buying "prizeys" for those she cared for.
She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Bob; two sons, Bill (Katie Baxter) Swanson of Marinette and David (Mary Swink) Swanson of Menominee; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four step-children, Roberta Janes, Cindy (Marc) Buerke and Jeffrey (Barb) Nerat, all of Marinette and Tim Nerat of Menominee; two sisters, Donna Thoune and Christine (Tony Raygo) Corey; six sisters-in-law, Kathleen Long, Pat Nerat, Patti Nerat, Pamela Nerat, Nancy Lukszys and Cheryl Werner; a brother-in-law, Edwin Sanders and many nieces; nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and John Vargo Jr. and a sister, Mary Sanders.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Tuesday, March 5 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Birch Creek Cemetery in Menominee.
