Les Jones, 85, of Peshtigo, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born May 17, 1933, to the late Charles and Helen (Goltz) Jones, he married Yvonne Ames on May 31, 1952 and they celebrated 63 years of marriage until her passing on June 2, 2015. He owned and operated Sanford Overhead Door Company in Peshtigo for 40 years.
He enjoyed playing cribbage, antique cars and tinkering with his tractor, but especially loved growing up with his children and his dog.
He is survived by, a son, Joey Jones; four daughters, Bonne (Jim) Nerat, Becky (Greg) Scnneider and Pula Clubb, all of Peshtigo and Janet (Bill) Juster of Appleton; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richie and Larry; two sisters, Donna and Yvonne and a son-in-law, Joe Frank.
Along with his parents and wife, Yvonne, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie; a daughter-in-law, Kim; two sons-in-law, Jim Clubb and Dave Flom and six siblings, Robert, Jerry, Louise, Judy, Charles and Juliane.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7 at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Spring.
