Ethel (Nasgovitz) Fredrick, 88, of Coleman, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Rennes Health Care Center-West in Peshtigo.
Born May 4, 1930, to the late Edward and Evelyn (Smetana) Nasgovitz, she attended Lena Road School and moved to Two Rivers where she worked at Mirro Aluminum. She married Marvin A. Fredrick on Nov. 4, 1950 in Coleman and they were together for 65 years. In 1954 they built their house in Coleman where they raised four children. She worked at Coleman Products for 18 years, loved her job and was a dedicated worker.
In younger years she loved going to dances, ice fishing, bingo and traveling with family. She fed the birds all year long, enjoyed gardening, piling wood or walking to the workshop to see the latest project her husband was working on. She welcomed all to stop at the "Blue Bottle" house for a visit and made memories at family gatherings and the cottage up north.
She is survived by four children, Cheryl (Dennis) Alexander, Bonnie (Don) Bader, Dale (Audrey) Fredrick and Annette Sobeck; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Eunice) Nasgovitz; a sister, Darlene (Jim) Brye and a sister-in-law, June Nosgovitz.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; three brothers, Raymond, David and Myron and a sister, Delima.
Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, March 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coleman from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral at 11 a.m., with Rev. Gregory Stahlecker officiating. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Coleman is assisting the family with arrangements.
