Justina A. (Peribek) Johanek, 88, of Marlow, Ok., formerly of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 in Marlow.
Born April 14, 1930 in Menominee, Mi., to Benedict and Nettie (Smaglick) Peribek, she grew up in Michigan and graduated from high school there. She mostly worked as a bookkeeper but was also employed at Hamilton Corporation as a stenographer and later as a Civil Servant at the information center at Fort Sill.
A member at St. Ann's Catholic Church, she participated in the book club and prayer line and was a member of the TOPS Club in Lawton.
She is survived by two children, son, Jay Johanek of Lawton and daughter, Gail Johanek of Green Bay; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane and Genevieve and a foster son, Ralph Leese.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Peribek.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Elgin Ok., with Rev. Roy Narisetti, Pastor officiating. Becker Rabon Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
