Milton C. Heiden, 89, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at home surrounded by family.
Born Feb. 20, 1930 at home in Menominee County, to the late Joseph and Anna (Wehofer) Heiden, he served in the United States Marines from 1950 -1958 and married Patricia Johnson in 1958 in Stephenson, Mi. In 1967 he started Heiden Lumber and Fencing, then raised cattle, sold Christmas trees and cut firewood.
He enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions and many other sports, but most of all, loved time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Pat; two sons, Terry (Kathie) Heiden and Tony Heiden, all of Stephenson; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Among his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Stephenson on Sunday, March 24 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a meal and refreshments from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery in Spring. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson is assisting the family with arrangements.
