Lucille "Penny" Marie Rondeau, 72, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, after a brief illness. She now joined her best friend and confidante of over 40 years, Jean O'Leary in eternal life.
Born Jan. 23, 1947 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Ellsworth and Lucille (Deau) Rondeau, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1965 and worked for the Green Bay Public School District and Pauly Cheese.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, softball, bowling, playing pinochle, going to the casino, playing the polka cello, was an avid Packer fan and always lent a helping hand, but especially loved feeding the wild birds and squirrels in her yard and time with her family and neighbors.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Viola Rondeau; many nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; her "adopted" family of Jean O'Leary; neighbors Bob, Jeff, Kay, Kenny and Carol and many relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Helen "Bucky" Dion, Francis "Teenie" Rondeau and Patrick Rondeau; a brother-in-law, Bob Dion; a nephew, Jimmer Dion and a great-niece, Jenny Dion.
Visitation at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum will be held on Wednesday, April 3, from 1 p.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m., with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. A memorial fund has been established in her name and can be sent to Simply Cremation c/o Penny Rondeau, 243 N Broadway, Green Bay, Wi.54303. Simply Cremation of Green Bay is assisting the family with arrangements.
