Alfred "Fred" Ouellette, 80, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019.
Born May 21, 1938 in Marinette, to Alvin and Mary Ouellette, he graduated from Marinette High School and then served in the United States Marines. After an honorable discharge, he returned to Marinette and married the former Joan Grun on Sept. 15, 1962 and they had had three children, Michele, Cindy and Michael.
He worked at Ansul from where he retired in 1999. After retirement, the couple enjoyed being together and traveling to their favorite spots of New York, Florida and Baton Rouge.
He enjoyed making his rounds on his moped, football games with his son, was a kind, mild mannered man and could tell a story like no other.
He is survived by three children, Michele (John) Kelley, Cindy (Chuck) Brady and Michael (Carol) Ouellette; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; two brothers Gerald and Erle and a sister, Marilyn.
Friends called at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. until time of Military Honors at 1 p.m., presented by the Military 20-Year Club. A memorial service was led by Fr. Brian Gerber with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
