Pauline H. "Polly" Jakups, 92, of Pembine, passed away Monday April 15, 2019 at Reflections at Moraine Ridge in Green Bay.
Born Oct. 16, 1926 in Pembine, to the late Roy and Lillian (Jennings) Newling, she married her husband Charles on July 22, 1946 at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine where they continued to be parish members.
They were together for 72 years and owned and operated the Port Supper Club for 43 years. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, was an excellent cook and loved her pets, but mostly loved her family.
They loved watching the Milwaukee Bucks and their house was a gathering place for all, providing many family memories.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie; three children, Steve (Nancy) Jakups, Christine (David) Vought and David (Therese) Jakups; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Newling; a special niece, Lorie Gravelle and many extended family and friends.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Treve and Megan and eight siblings, Andrew, Harriet, Merta, Rosetta, Charlotte, Roy, Jeanette and Willard.
Family and friends may visit at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine on Tuesday, April 23 from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Burial will be in Pembine Cemetery in May. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
