Marie Pauline Wilhelmina (Keller) Hanson, 95, of Marinette, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Rennes Health Care Center-East in Peshtigo.
Born Dec. 3, 1923 at the old M & M Hospital in Marinette, to Charles and Marie (Jaeger) Keller, she was a lifelong area resident and married Andrew C. Hanson, Sr. on July 31, 1943. For many years they lived in the Town of Peshtigo where she loved gardening. She worked at Fish Net and Twine and Emerson Electric in Menominee.
With a lifelong devotion to family, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was active in the Stewart School Homemaker's Club. She enjoyed the Marinette Senior Center where she sang in the What's Next group and was a longtime member of Peace United Church of Christ and a member of the Women's Guild of the Church.
She is survived by four children, Marie (Bill) Wolfe, Andrew C. (Lois) Hanson, Jr., Carl Hanson and Mary (Randy) Wright; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Boneham.
Among her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; a brother, William Keller and sisters, Amelia Hanson and Emma Bjorkman.
Per her request, a private family service will be held at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home with Pastor Linda Forray officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial was established for Peace United Church of Christ.
