Jeanette (Ludtke) Krumheuer, 95, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Waunakee Manor after a short illness.
Born Dec. 23, 1923 in Whitewater, to the late Henry and Caroline (Schoellkopf) Ludtke, she married Alden Krumheuer on June 29, 1946 in Whitewater and they moved to Marinette where they spent their entire married life. After her husbands passing, she moved to Madison in 2006.
She was a dedicated teacher in the Marinette Public School District for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, playing golf, gardening, and bridge, but mostly loved time with her family.
A member of St. James Lutheran Church and Women's Club in Marinette, she also belonged to Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee and the Elks Lodge in Marinette and Madison.
She is survived by three daughters, Claudia Klapatch, Windsor, Wendy Danchuk, Mazomaine and Paula (Robert) McCarthy, Grafton, Mass.; four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alden; a son-in-law, George Danchuk; a sister, Vera Gillett and a brother, Vern Ludtke.
Visitation was held at Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee on Tuesday, April 23 from 1 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Doug Locken presiding. Burial will be held at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette at a later date. Memorials can be made to one's local food bank, Second Harvest Food Bank or the Salvation Army. Gunderson West Funeral and Cremation Care of Middleton assisted the family with arrangements.
