Phyllis A. (Anderson) Foster, 93, of Niagara, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
Born May 8, 1926 in Norway, Mi., to the late Enfred and Muriel (Trethewey) Anderson, she graduated from Norway High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry at Albion College. After her husband Edward was honorably discharged from service they married in Norway and lived in Detroit, Mi. for a short time before returning to Norway. She worked at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Norway, as a lab tech from 1967 until retiring in the late 80's.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, basket weaving, making miniature doll houses and figurines, gardening, swimming and was a creative person. She will be remembered and missed for her generosity, kindness and spirited humor.
Survivors include a daughter, Sara (Carl Swanson) Foster, Niagara; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Edward, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Foster; a daughter, Suzy Lake Radford; two brothers, William and Jack Anderson and a sister, Edythe Jamieson.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. Burial will take place in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens in Iron Mountain, Mi.
