THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Annual Ride for Rescue at Crivitz
Issue Date: July 18, 2019
Crivitz--The 10th Annual Ride for Rescue, a 130-mile motorcycle and vintage car ride which benefits the Crivitz Rescue Squad, is July 27. The ride is sponsored by Dan & Tim's Riverside Tavern and JC PowerSports. The ride will begin and end at Riverside Tavern. Registration at Riverside will begin at 10 a.m., and the ride will start at 11:30 a.m.
Ride for Rescue will travel through Marinette County and beyond, and includes three to four stops along the way. A meal will be served for the riders at Riverside after the ride. There will also be drawings and raffle buckets. The public is encouraged to participate in the raffles.
The cost is $15 per rider and $5 for the passenger. The registration fees and money made from the raffle will go to directly benefit Crivitz Rescue Squad in the purchase of medical equipment, education and training costs. Last year's charity ride helped the squad purchase a new ambulance. In years past, new cots, LUCAS device and defibrillators were partially funded by the ride.
Registration forms can be found online at www.crivitzrescue.com; by request on Facebook at Crivitz Rescue Squad; at the CRS squad building,; mailed by request by calling 715-854-7666; or at local businesses.
Crivitz Rescue is a nonprofit, volunteer-based 911-response emergency medical service covering hundreds of residents in five municipalities since 1953. Through the generosity and support of friends and neighbors the squad operates two ambulances at the Advanced EMT level, answering over 500 calls per year.
