Fred C. Fleischfresser, 71, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019 at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, Mi.
Born Aug. 21, 1947 in Dane County, to the late Fred and Florence (Johnston) Fleischfresser, he grew up in Niagara and received a BS Degree from UW-Stevens Point. He served in the United States Air Force Intelligence, was stationed in Japan and California and later lived in Texas. He worked at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center as an electrician. He married Barbara J. Pringle on Feb. 14, 1999 and she preceded him in death on Nov. 5, 2011.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, collecting guns and socializing, but mostly time with family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelly (Joey) Buch, Pembine, Wis.; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two nieces, Deborah (James Lindholm) Ethington and Donna (Bruce) Nelson and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Barbara, he was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Doris (Daniel) Ethington.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Bobs Country Bar in Niagara. Jacobs Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Niagara Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
