Memorial services have been announced for Daniel Votava, 66, of Mesa, Az., who passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at his home, surrounded by family, after a long battle of illnesses.
Born to Mildred (Marquardt) DeRosier and Frank Votava, Sr., he served in the United States Navy and then left Wisconsin and traveled to Wyoming, settling in Texas.
He was an accomplished carpenter, a lifelong Packer fan, loved to garden, cook, fish, hunt and camp, but above all, enjoyed time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vivian; a daughter, Alicia; a grandson, Daniel; his parents, Mildred DeRosier and step-father, Rolllie DeRosier; four siblings, Frank (Kathy) Votava, Jr., Michael (Renee) Votava, Sandra (Bob) Deichelbor and Timothy (Betty) Votava and many aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
His father, Frank Votava, Sr. preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 17 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peshtigo at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations will be used to support a friend currently battling cancer.
