Dennis L. Strojny, 75, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 201 at Atrium Post Acute Care.
Born Dec. 26, 1944 in Marinette, to Joseph and Anne Strojny, he spent his early life in Marinette and graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School in 1963. In 1965 he enlisted in the United States Army, serving two years until a discharge in 1967.
After returning to Marinette he studied engineering at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and was as a longtime employee of The Ansul Co./Tyco until retiring.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating, but especially any activity on the water. He also liked traveling to Canada and Alaska for fishing trips.
He is survived by a son, Brian (Stephanie) Strojny; a daughter, Carol Bretl; three grandchildren; five brothers, Roger (Theresa), Don (Joan), Tom (Carol), Joe and Paul and and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Keith Bretl; a sister, Joanne Schmidt; a brother, Leo and a sister-in-law, Cheri Strojny.
A graveside interment service with Military Honors will be held at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
