Coleman School Spotlights Costa Rica Trip On Aug. 26

The District Spotlight will be on the Spanish Club's trip to Costa Rica at the regular monthly meeting of Coleman School board on Monday, Aug. 26.
District Administrator Doug Polomis will give an update on the referendum, report on the Angels School Supply Distribution and give a recap of summer school. He also will report on damage to school property from recent storms.
As high school principal he will report on new student orientation for 9th graders.
Polomis and Middle School/Elementary Principal Yvette Marshall will report on professional development, August inservice days and the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
The board is to act on resignations of Rachael Rosner as an aide, Courtnee Wickman as a special education teacher, Joni Kotecki as JV Volleyball Coach, and Katherine Schermer as Freshman Volleyball Coach.
They are expected to approve a teaching contract for Kyle Johnson, plus hiring of Jacquelyn Schutte as a special education teacher and Kyle Johnson as her mentor; Vicki Mandli as an aide, Katherine Schermer as JV Volleyball coach and Maddi Bieber as a volunteer volleyball coach.
The board will be asked to approve time off without pay for Heather Carlson and Vicki Johnson, and accept a bid for snow plowing and ice removal.
Donations are to be accepted for FFA from Marinette County Breakfast on the Farm Committee, and for the Equestrian Team from Village Pharmacy, Coleman Parts LLC, and GreenStone Farm Credit.
Provision is made for approving other hirings and resignations and accepting other donations that may come in.
At the end of regular business the board will go into closed executive session under provisions of the Open Meetings Law to discuss the District Safety Plan.
