Shane J.T. Lee, 41, of Vancouver, Wa., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, due to complications of diabetes.
Born Sept. 6, 1977, to Sam and Carol Lynn Larsen-Lee in Oceanside, Ca., he moved to Menominee in 1989 and graduated from Menominee High School in 1995. He attended DeVry University and worked in Telecommunications as a Senior Field Engineer for Quadgen Wireless Solutions and was responsible for the Pacific Northwest.
He loved snowboarding, skateboarding, fishing and basketball.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Lynn (Dave) Higley of Menominee; a daughter, Emma A. Lee of Columbus, Oh.; a sister, Rene Tatori of Detroit and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Lee.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at N1025 River Drive in Menominee. A Celebration affectionately named "Shredding for Shazzy" was held on Mount Hood. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials can be made to Carol Lynn Higley and will be used for a future Menominee waterfront improvement project, Diabetes research and anti-bullying efforts.
