Mary Ann (Szalanski) Herlache, of Amberg, passed away tragically of a heart attack on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2019.
With an electric personality, she had a big effect on people of all ages, helped the elderly, enjoyed the annual Easter Egg hunt and the Christmas party for children throughout Marinette County and also enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening.
She is survived by her best friend and partner, Gerald Kocken; a daughter, Nicole (Andy) Wiedemeier; three granddaughters; her father, Gordon and Norma Szalanski, Amberg; siblings, Patrick Szalanski and Nancy Mattson, Glenn, Rena (Steve) Genz, Keith Wirth and many aunts, uncles and cousins of Oconomowoc.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith (Smith) Wirth; an uncle, David Szalanski and an aunt Judy Szalanski.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Amberg Pub on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. Condolences and correspondence can be sent to Gerald Kocken and Nicole Wiedemeier, P.O.
