Vernon James Lindquist, 68, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019 at home, with family by his side.
Born Jan. 29, 1951 in Marinette, to the late Patrick and Faye (Peterson) Lindquist, he graduated from Menominee High School and worked at Winsert Inc. for over 20 years and also did drywall/plaster work.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed the Packers, was proud of his garden, had a passion for cooking and sharing recipes and was a great story teller.
He is survived by his family, including a daughter, Melissa (James) Schulke; a son, Bret Lindquist; two grandchildren; three sisters, Patty (Arthur) Lacey, Sandy (Bill) Dellisse and Tammy Barrett; a brother, Larry (Cindy) Lindquist; special friends, Wally and Sherry Jacques; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ron Barrett and a nephew, Scott Dellisse.
Friends may call at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee with Military Honors. A memorial fund was established in his name and expressions of sympathy and kindness can be directed to his daughter, Melissa.
