William C. Hanson Jr., 68, of Ingalls, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 at his home.
Born April 27, 1951 in Marinette, to William and Clara (Schainstine) Hanson, Sr., he married the former Teresa "Tina" Dulak on July 20, 2000 in Menominee, Mi. He worked in law enforcement for many years, owned and operated Black River Trucking and most recently served as Pastor of the Cedar River Chapel.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all animals. He had a special way with animals and loved rescuing them, but his family, grandchildren and the Lord was most important to him.
Survivors include his wife, Tina of Ingalls, Mi.; three children, Jason (Tracy) Axtell of Menominee, Mi., Melissa (Pete) Axtell-Vargo of Appleton and Jennifer (Jim) Harper of Wausaukee; five grandchildren; his father, William Hanson, Sr. of Stephenson, Mi.; a brother, Robert (Floreta) Hanson of Stephenson; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Hanson and a brother, Ronald Hanson.
Visitation was held Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson from 3 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 6 p.m., with Jerry Peterson officiating.
