On Monday, September 30th, 2019, the world lost James (Jim) Russell Perreault, age 80, of Pound, WI to complications of cardio vascular disease.
Jim was born July 2nd, 1939 in Sheboygan WI, and was the first of two children, born to the late Russell and Lucille (Ostermann) Perreault. Jim was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, followed by college at Milwaukee School of Engineering. On September 10th, 1960 he was united in marriage with Ann Perreault (Zoran) at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Jim and Ann raised their family in the Milwaukee area where he worked in the mining equipment industry for roughly 40 years, of which the majority were spent at the Nordberg Company. In 2001, he and Ann moved to White Potato Lake near Pound, WI, where they spent the majority of their retired years.
Jim was a humorous, caring, and intelligent man. Both at work and at home, Jim was known for his ingenuity, precision, and teasing people in a loving way. Throughout the years, his favorite pastimes included traveling, camping, hunting, fishing and woodworking. One of Jim's biggest passions was adventuring with Ann in their travel trailer to countless destinations across the country.
Jim loved White Potato Lake tremendously and led the Sportsman's club serving not only as President, but also other positions for many years. He led the effort for many lake improvement projects and his legacy on the lake speaks for itself.
Survivors include his wife Ann; son, Steve (Kim) Perreault; four grandchildren, Benjamin, James, Jacob, and Claire. He is further survived by his brother, Mike Perreault; aunt, Laverne Schwitzgoebel (Ostermann); daughter-in-law, Barbara Perreault and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Perreault.
Jim's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Schmidt, Dr. Thom, Dr. Saoud, and the entire staff at Aurora Health Care and Unity Hospice for their great care and compassion. The family is also very thankful to all who supported them during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Anne Catholic Church (228 E. Main St.) in Coleman, WI on Saturday, Oct. 5th at 1:00 PM. Father Felix Abano will officiate. Visitation will be at CHURCH from 11:00 AM until the time of services. Jim will be cremated and buried in Greendale Cemetery, Sheboygan at a later date. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Coleman is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, and for those wanting to donate in honor of Jim, the family wishes gifts to the American Heart Association, JDRF, the MS Society and/or Saint Anne Catholic Church.
