Glenn A. Lemsky, 91, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 at Sun Valley Homes II.
Born Oct. 11, 1927, to the late Joseph and Irene (Longrie) Lemsky in Marinette, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1945 and served in the Maritime Marines throughout Europe, Russia, and Germany. On Dec. 2, 1950, he married Mary "Pat" Koeppler at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette.
He worked at Scott Paper for 43 years where he was Union Steward and Recording Secretary. He enjoyed hunting, building things, including a cabin and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Pat of Marinette; four sons, William (Marilyn) Lemsky of Richfield, James (Tracy) Lemsky of Green Bay, John Lemsky of Marinette and Thomas (Melissa) Lemsky of Hudson; five daughters, Mary (Mark) Peterson of Green Bay, Leanne Herrild of Menominee, Kathryn (Wayne) Adams of Marinette, Susan (Mike) Pierson of Neenah and Julie (Kurt Schadewaldt) Lemsky of Belleville; a daughter-in-law, Patt Lemsky of Waukesha; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Unice Lemsky of Marinette.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph; a son-in-law, Ron Herrild; a brother, Alden Lemsky and a sister, Lucille Champeau.
Private family services will be held at Thielen Funeral Home with burial in Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials can be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
