OCONTO- Sturgeon Bay made Oconto work for their wins last Thursday night. The Blue Devils not only hosted the Clippers, but also gave notice to all that their parents do for them. Oconto finally pulled a win out in the first game with a score of 21-25. Both teams were really scrappy and not letting that volleyball hit the floor without hustling for it. You have to give the Clippers credit, they were able to dig some extremely hard hits from Cora Behnke and Hannah Moe. In the second game, the Blue Devils topped Sturgeon Bay with a score of 22-25. Throughout the match, Sturgeon Bay kept trying to get Oconto out of their game, but the Blue Devil's Freshman setter Kate Barhke had some surprise tips of her own, getting Oconto back on track when they needed it. The final game had a score of 22-25, Oconto. Ultimately, Oconto's serving gave the Blue Devils an edge over the Clippers. This match went over two hours and it was evident that neither team wanted to lose.
