Wausaukee Town Board Approved $798,158 Budget

The Town Of Wausaukee held their budget hearing and regular meetings on Nov. 12. At the 6 p.m. the regular meeting members present were Chairman Jeff Engelmann; Sup. 1 Bob Jicha; Sup. 2 David Tomasino; Sup. 4 Dennis Taylor; Treasurer Sally Hultquist; Clerk Cheryl Stumbris, and Bob Wesolowski. Absent was Sup. 3 Kurt Stumbris;
Chairman Engelmann called the meeting to order at 6 P.M.
The agenda approval was made by Jicha with the correction / addition Line #14 Adjourn to Budget Hearing and reconvene after Public Hearing.
Minutes were approved along with financial report which noted balance on hand as of Oct. 31 were Checking $34,103.67, MM General $135,315.69.
Vouchers were reviewed and approved.
Jicha made a motion to accept Wausaukee Rescue Squad Contract for 2020, with quarterly payments, Road Workers wage increase is in the budget, and Village requested option of three dates to meet with Town regarding Steve Stumbris Sr. Memorial Park. Town of Wausaukee presented dates of Dec.10, 2019; Jan.14, 2020 or Feb. 11, 2020.
Election Day Emergency Response Plan was discussed and plan is for relocating Election in case of an emergency.
Clerk shared information regarding county residents in another choice for health insurance during Open Enrollment for Nov. 1-Dec. 15, 2019 called Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin.
At 6:27 pm Supervisor Jicha made a motion to adjourn to Budget Hearing and reconvene after Public Hearing Seconded by Supervisor Taylor. Motion carried
The Annual Budget Meeting started at 7 PM also at the Town Hall and same members attended.
Engelmann reviewed the 2020 proposed budget which approved Highway expenditures of $552,910 for 2020. Total budget was $798,158 and the town levy was $459,615.
