Patricia Ann (Miller) (Borchert) Peterson, 72, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 at Bornemann Senior Communities in Green Bay with family at her side
Born March 17, 1947 in Aurora, Ill., to the late Thomas and Libby Miller, at a young age, the family moved to Marinette, where she grew up and graduated from Marinette High School in 1965. She married James Arthur Borchert on July 22, 1967 and they were married for 34 years. They farmed in rural Oconto and had three children, Kristin, Kerry and Thomas. She graduated with honors from Concordia University with a Business Administration degree and worked at NEWCAP Inc in Oconto for over 30 years, servicing the community with affordable family services. She married Terry Peterson on Oct. 13, 2007.
She led a full life with a drive for community service, women's health care and family services. She was very involved in Jaycettes and achieved the Elsa Dagget Award. An avid reader, she also loved to watch movies, play cards, fishing and time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Peterson; three children, Kristin (Timothy) Hearley, Kerry (Daniel) Frederickson and Thomas (Rachael) Borchert; two step-sons, Adam Peterson and Matthew Peterson; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two sisters, Mary Paliwoda and Barbara Anderson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Miller and James Miller and a grandson, Brandon Sheldon.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. until time of the Memorial Services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Craig Alwin officiating.
