Elaine Margaret (Ferguson) Lewis, 82, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28 at Atrium in Menominee, Mi., after a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 3, 1937 in Battle Creek, Mi., to the late Wesley and Margaret (Meinhart) Ferguson, she graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1954. On June 10, 1955, she married Jerry Lewis in Battle Creek and he passed away May 21, 2017.
She worked at various jobs including the Federal Government in Battle Creek before moving to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 1973 with her family. She continued to work for the government and eventually sold real estate in Marquette. She was a good artist and did many craft shows through the Upper Midwest.
She is survived by two sons, Randy and Steven (Kimberly), both of Menominee and two grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother Allen Ferguson.
A private family celebration is being planned and no public service will be held. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
