Jerris R. Freis, 38, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay as the result of a lifelong struggle with kidney disease.
Born Nov. 20, 1981 in Marinette, to Richard and Joan (Richards) Freis, he graduated from Stephenson High School in 2000 and most recently worked as an industrial painter at Enstrom Helicopter.
He was in local pool leagues and enjoyed watching college and professional sports and was an avid reader, but mostly loved time with family and friends. With his quick wit and keen sense of humor, he leaves behind both love and laughter.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Joan of Wallace; two brothers, Steven (Amanda) Freis of Ann Arbor, Mi. and Adam (Charlie) Freis of Wallace, Mi.; two nephews; a niece; many aunts; uncles and cousins and a countless number of friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon with his uncle Phil Richards and friends presiding. A memorial fund will be established and acts of kindness or sympathy can be directed to Richard or Joan Freis. With his love of reading, all contributions will be donated to the Menominee County Library in his name.
